The department of Home Affairs does not estimate processing times for all parent visas. Applications for these visas are subject to capping and queueing. However, the DHA estimate it will take at least 58 months for the contributory parent visa (173, 143, 864) to be assessed by case officer.
EZOZ Migration suggest all parent visa applications to be submitted as soon as possible to avoid processing delays. The later you submit the visa application, the longer you will have to wait to be able to reunite with your dear family in Australia. We expect the waiting time will consistently increase from 58 months in future.
